Rehabilitation of the Central Avenue in Kobuleti

The Kobuleti population will have a rehabilitated Central Avenue and a unique bike lane on the street. The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Ramaz Nikolaishvili visited rehabilitation works in Kobuleti on the 6km section of David Aghmashenebeli Street.

An asphalt pavement is being laid on the Central Avenue on one side of the road. On the other side a unique modern bike lane is being constructed. For the bike lane red asphalt, which is produced locally, was used for the first time in Georgia.

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure is implementing the project, funded by the government and the World Bank. About 200 local residents are employed on the rehabilitation works.
