Taxation Amnesty Concerns Only Bad Loans

The tax code will be amended once again. The government calls its amendments a taxation amnesty. Entrepreneurs who had certain taxation liabilities before 2005 will be freed from the interest if they pay off the main amount. This concerns entrepreneurs who stopped economic activities before 2005. The leader of "Industry will save Georgia" party, businessman Zurab Tkemaladze, thinks that the debts from this period are bad loans and they will not be paid anyway. According to him, this is not amnesty but a cleaning of taxation activities from bad debts which will not be paid anyway.
