Humanitarian action in IDP settlement

Tuesday, December 20
The Ministry of Corrections and Legal Assistance of Georgia (MCLA) has held humanitarian action for internally displaced persons in Tsilkani.

Deputy Minister Giorgi Arsoshvili presented household goods and essentials to those families who have benefited from legal aid services this year.

The Dokadze family is from the village of Dzartsemi, Liakhvi Valley. The Jirmelishvilis had lived in Akhalgori before the Russian aggression in 2008. After the war, they received free legal assistance from the Legal Aid Service. Qualified lawyers helped them in solving their problems and preparing legal documentation.

Free legal assistance to IDPs does not imply only office-related services. Public lawyers hold regular meetings in refugee settlements, get acquainted with problems and provide instant qualified advice.
