The new Apartments for IDPs

Comfortable apartments in Tskaltubo were given to 352 families displaced from the occupied territories. 10 residential buildings were built for IDPs from Abkhazia in Tskaltubo on the Street of 9 April. The new district includes 4 five-storey and 6 four-storey buildings which consist of 88 one-room and 264 two-room apartments. The President of Georgia visited a new district in Tskaltubo and congratulated the first -residents with Christmas and New Year. The project has been implemented in the frames of the agreement between EU and Georgia. The new district is set on 41 thousand square meters territory. In the frames of the project the whole territory of the new district was rehabilitated: Asphalt pavement was laid; Outdoor lightning has been installed; gasification, water supply has been completed. The territory has been greened and new stadium has been built for children. The project was implemented by the coordination of the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure. 2500 local people were employed on the works.
