Bakradze met with Borjomi population

Last week the Chairman of the Parliament continues his meetings with the population of the regions of Georgia.

Bakradze visited Samtskhe-Javakheti region. He met with the residents of Borjomi Municipality and visited the newly constructed main building of water filtration station.

The construction of the station began in spring of the last year. Its construction part and the technological line will be completed by the end of February. The expensive filtration systems have been installed in accordance with the European standards in the main building. About 8 million GEL will be spent for the implementation of the project.

"This is a real European quality and standard water filtration facility, by launching which the water problem in Borjomi will be solved. In Borjomi, during the new touristic season in summer there will be 24-hour water supply and the highest quality pure water,” Bakradze said.

The Chairman of the Parliament also said that this year is also planned the construction of several new hotels, and rehabilitation of Borjomi Park and Plato, which, he said, will re-establish reputation the resort used to always have.

"These infrastructural projects are: water, gasification, roads, hotels and all these serves the purpose that Borjomi shall be ready for receiving guests starting from this touristic season. Borjomi will thus restore its function, name and niche, which it always used to have as one of the outstanding resorts of Georgia,” stated Bakradze.
