Technical assistance project worth EURO 16.5 million coming to Georgia

The International Energy Organization INOGATE will implement technical assistance project in Georgia. The cost of the project constitutes 16.5 million EURO and the duration is 3 years. The Committee Members, Guranda Jabua and Zurab Kikaleishvili, and the Members of the Staff of the Committee, held the working meeting with the experts of the project.

The project manager, Kevin McCann introduced the key priorities and directions of the project. According to him, technical assistance project contains 4 main components and implies harmonization of the legislative base with the European standards and target trainings and workshops, as well as issues of relation of the Regulation Commissions and the Distributing Companies. "We discussed the future relations at the meeting and the both parties expressed commitment for cooperation on the legislative level. We’re interested in international standards and inculcation thereof in Georgia”, - Zurab Kikaleishvili stated.
