“Choose life and not drugs” – slogan of Anti-Drug Campaign

The winners of the contest for the creation of a logo and slogan for the state Anti Drug campaign have been revealed. Author of the slogan – “Chose life and not drugs” is 12thgrader of Tbilisi Public School # 59, Giorgi Osefashvili. Elza Tamazashvili, author of logo is also 12th grader of Melaani Village Public School of Gurdjaani Municipality.

Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini and First Deputy of General Prosecutor met the winners of the contest. They awarded them with portable computers; other participants of the contest have been awarded diplomas.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, together with the Ministry of Justice, initiated the contest for the creation of a logo and slogan for the state Anti Drug campaign. All students of public and private schools were able to take part in the contest.

The complex measures taken by the Ministry as a part of the safe school concept have decreased the cases of drug abuse among school students. Ministry is committed to continue working with other respective agencies and institutions to prevent crime and drug abuse among youth.
