Raoul Wallenberg celebrated in Georgia

Thursday, April 19
Yesterday marked a celebration of the 100th birthday of the late Raoul Wallenberg, the Swedish diplomat who saved countless Jewish lives during World War II.

While a number of events were organized to commemorate the day, the most significant was the candle-lighting ceremony in memory of the victims of the Holocaust, in which the Georgian Patriarch, Ilya II, participated.
