Visit of Parliamentary Delegation from Kyrgyzstan to Georgia

The Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, David Bakradze hosted a Parliamentary delegation from Kyrgyzstan. The sides talked about economic reforms and political policy undergone by Georgia after the 2003 Revolution. "Kyrgyzstan is one of those countries, which is very interested in the Georgian reforms and it is important that such a representative parliamentary delegation arrived to Georgia. The Kyrgyz parliamentarians expressed their sincere and undisguised interest in sharing of Georgia’s experience. In Kyrgyzstan is a political class which is interested in reforms and for whom Georgia presents a successful example. This gives us hope that Kyrgyzstan will successfully implement the reforms as well” – David Bakradze stated.

The Kyrgyz Parliamentary delegation met with the members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Kyrgyzstan, chaired by the MP Lasha Damenia. During the meeting, Otar Toidze, the Chairman of the Committee on Healthcare and Social Issues, introduced to the Kyrgyz guests those reforms and gradual steps which were carried out in the sphere of healthcare. The guests expressed their interest concerning the "100 hospitals” and insurance reforms.

The Kyrgyz Parliamentary delegation consists of the representatives of five Factions of the Parliament and is headed by the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan, Bodosh Mamirova. At the parliament the guests learned about the implemented reforms in Georgia and the Georgian legislation. The Parliamentary delegation from Kyrgyzstan will stay in Georgia for four days. Today, the members of delegation will meet with Zurab Chiaberashvili, the Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs and Tina Burjaliani, First Deputy Justice Minister. Within the scope of the visit, the Kyrgyz MPs will hold the meetings with the representatives of Adjara Local Government in Batumi.
