Bakradze unveils sport complex in Gurjaani

Speaker of Parliament Davit Bakradze visited the soon-to-be-renovated Sports Complex in Gurjaani. A 25-metre pool, sport halls, and gym will be built with new standards, at a cost of 3 million GEL. Completion of construction is set for August 25.

The new Sports Complex in intended to facilitate the establishment of a healthy lifestyle for the next generation, Bakradze said. "This year, we implement numerous projects in Kakheti, to which approximately 100 million GEL is allocated. Kakheti rehabilitation serves to improve the environment and conditions for the population, [and] to attract more tourists to this region, which will bring more income for local residents,” he remarked.

The Speaker also met with the local population and discussed their problems, in addition to visiting a Gurjaani ice cream plant, where 120 people are employed.
