Business Ombudsman against frequent changes to tax code

Friday, May 4Georgia’s Business Ombudsman Giorgi Pertaia has advised against frequent amendments made to the tax code, suggesting instead that amendments be made only once or twice a year.
He explained that there is a sense of instability among taxpayers, who complain that it is too difficult to follow changes and adjusting to a new amendment takes time and effort.
Since the introduction of the tax code seven years ago, more than 300 amendments have been introduced to it.
