Karabakh conflict: Russia and Georgia

Currently, Georgian Foreign Minister, Grigol Vashadze, stated that if there is military conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Russia will become the winner after the situation and Georgia meanwhile will be the loser. According to Vashadze, it is in the best interests of Georgia to have peace between its neighbors. A peaceful resolution to the conflict in Karabakh will facilitate a peaceful resolution of conflict in Georgia. Meanwhile Russian diplomacy is very actively involved in different developments in the Middle East. As for the peace process regarding Karabakh, it is moving very slowly, and so far not many steps have been taken in this direction. On the other hand, Azerbaijan has increased its military potential, and several times its leadership has threatened to use force as solution to the conflict.
