Ilia the Second – Criticism often Leads to Condemnation and Sin

Catholicos Patriarch of Georgia reminded society that criticism often leads to condemnation and sin. Ilia the II said on the Sunday service today, time changes and people do too. "We no longer resemble our predecessors and parents. They were more modest and kinder," the Patriarch declared and underscored that people were wiser before. The Patriarch said that there also were others – critics. Philosophers often visited villages, preached, said that people had to be good and they had many followers”, Patriarch declared.

“One wise person said that we no longer have philosophers and we have only critics. It is really so. A person, who criticizes, has to do better himself first and then criticize others. But this is our nature. This criticism often leads to condemnation and sin”, Patriarch said.
