"Statements made by Ivanishvili make us believe that the coalition is preparing for a post-election mess in the country rather than holding free elections," said the spokesperson for the National Movement, Chiora Taktakishvili, in response to the Georgian Dream’s six-point election preconditions.

Taktakishvili called the preconditions baseless and called on the coalition to protect Georgian legislation and recognize the outcome of the election, which will be confirmed by the Central Election Commission and by impartial international organizations.

In response, Ivanishvili emphasized that even in the case that Taktakishvili manages to "sing like a bird", nothing will save the National Movement.

Ivanishvili reassured the Georgian population that the coalition and the international community share a common vision and position concerning the elections. He also emphasized that the ruling administration can still choose to fulfill those preconditions.

However, in Ivanishvili’s recent TV interviews, it was also revealed that Ivanishvili does not wait the government to concede in this direction and change his position regarding political opponents. It was also voiced by the coalition leader that the statement was mainly directed towards the international community and had preventive connotations in order to gain more support from international organizations.
