Grape vintage less than last year

As agricultural analysts suggest, in 2012 Georgia will collect around 75, 000 tons of grapes. This is almost half of last year’s yield, when Georgia gathered up to 160, 000 tons. This is determined by a generally smaller harvest and by the storms and hails that affected the Kakheti region. The current government however, challenges these estimates and suggests that the harvest is really higher.
