69% of population is satisfied with the condition of roads in Georgia

In Georgia, 69% of population is satisfied with the condition of local roads. This is stated in the report of the international research company Gallup World, which studied 148 countries in 2011.

According to the report Georgia was in the first place among the former Soviet Union countries, and in the 25th place in the world, in terms of citizen’s satisfaction with road infrastructure.

Moldovans are most unhappy with roads from former Soviet Union countries (only 17% were positive). After Georgia on the second place were Uzbekistan (64%), then Turkmenistan (58%), Belarus (52%), and Ukraine (27%).

Meanwhile, 59% of the world population is happy with their roads. The highest level of satisfaction is in Asia (66%), the lowest – is in Sahara, Africa (36%) and the former Soviet Union (36%).
