National bank increasing national debt

Some analysts believe that the current administration has been trying to win the population's favor during the lead-up to the parliamentary elections next week by lavishly spending money on expensive public projects, social programs, etc. To finance these projects the national bank is intensively selling treasury bonds. In the last nine months the national debt has increased by almost half a billion GEL. The state has to pay back this amount in the coming years but it seems as if the current government seems unconcerned. If the UNM loses the election then the debt will be passed on to a new government and if they win they can continue to spend.
