During the previous leadership many employed people as well as some analysts criticized the Georgian labor code which gave much privilege to the employers and limited the rights of the employed, putting them in quite a difficult position. The leader of the Georgian Dream coalition promised to address that. Recently, economist Nodar Khaduri, the soon-to-be Chairman of the Parliamentary Economic Development Committee, made a statement that he and his colleagues will do their best to create favorable legislation for creating a normal business environment in the country so that the labor code will address anti monopoly legislation, the protection of consumers rights and others. The labor code should protect the rights of employees and regulate their relationship with their employers on a normal level. There would be no paragraphs in that code to provide the possibility of a double interpretation.
