Metallurgy works to be constructed in Poti

The Ministry of economy and sustainable development announced recently plans to construct a metallurgy works near the port of Poti. The location of the factory has already been designed, a feasibility study is underway, and a Turkish and Germany company is going to carry out the construction work and finance the project. Eurasian Development Bank will also participate in the financing. The Georgian government expressed interest in attracting more investors in 2013 and aims to attract around $2 billion USD.
