The International Chamber of Commerce, Georgia and Dhabi Group Georgia hold an Exclusive Roundtable with His Highness Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan

On April 8th members of the International Chamber of Commerce, Georgia, members of the diplomatic community and government representatives met at the Radisson Blu Hotel Tbilisi to hear the Government’s and the Dhabi Group’s perspectives on key factors for successful investments in emerging markets. H.E. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Minister of Economic Development and Mr. Irakli Kovzanadze, Chairman of the Partnership Fund of Georgia provided opening remarks on the investor-friendly climate in Georgia, followed by a presentation from the Ministry of Economy on target sectors for investment in the country, including real estate, hydropower, agriculture and tourism.

His Highness Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Dhabi Group and Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development and Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology of the United Arab Emirates then addressed attendees. His Highness outlined the Dhabi Group’s strong commitment to strengthening bilateral trade and investment relations between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates. He further expressed his optimism about the Georgian economy and the country’s business-friendly environment, highlighting Georgia’s sophisticated workforce and strong economic infrastructure as key factors which will attract investment to the country.

The roundtable was preceded by a luncheon at Kopala Restaurant which was attended by His Highness and his delegation of prominent businessmen from the UAE, and Prime Minister Ivanishvili and government officials. The purpose of the Dhabi Group’s delegation to Georgia was to express its support for the Georgian government, the Georgian people and to discuss investment opportunities in the country.
