Monday, June 10Georgia’s state statistical department published information stating that around 40,000 Georgian citizens lost their jobs in the first quarter of the year 2013. This is dramatic information. However, Minister of Finance, Nodar Khaduri, challenges this information, stating that the figures aired but the department should be set in the correlation with the figures of the first quarter of 2012. He stated that the data should be related according to the seasons, saying that winter season is less active and there are tendencies for employees to lose their jobs.
