Protecting the families of fallen soldiers

The Georgian government has decided to increase the support for the families of Georgian soldiers fallen in battle protecting Georgian statehood. All the families of such soldiers will receive 1, 000 GEL pensions per month; as for the families of the soldiers killed during the international missions, each of them will receive one time allowance worth one-hundred thousand GEL. Currently the process of identification of all the soldiers who died during the military operations and their heir families is underway. The Parliament is discussing the draft project which will determine the direct heir of the fallen soldiers. Minister of Defense, Irakli Alasania, said at the first stage the state plans to spend 29 million GEL for this purpose.
