Controversies between Georgia and Ukraine over food export-import

The Ukrainian media is paying much attention to the controversies over the export of Ukrainian food products to Georgia. The Ukrainian side claims that Georgian customs officials imposed extra difficulties for the Ukrainian products exported to Georgia. The Ukrainian media named several facts when Ukrainian cars loaded with poultry had problems while entering the Georgian customs offices. The Ukrainian side also protests the demand of a new procedure for labeling eggs exported to Georgia. The Ukrainian Komentar newspaper suggests that this facts aim at promoting local Georgian products. The newspaper calls this situation as a trade-war between the two countries.
