European Investment Bank to finance water supply project in Georgia

Water supply work in around 25 municipalities and three towns will be financed in the amount of $40 million, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, David Narmania said after the governmental meeting. According to him, the government approved the executed agreement between Georgia and the European Investment Bank which envisages the financing of work on the water supply in Georgia's 25 municipalities and three towns in the amount of $40 million. The document was submitted by the Finance Ministry. It will be transferred to the Ministry of Infrastructure for financing the relevant projects. "All main projects are ready. The most problematic municipalities and towns will be financed in the first stage. Work will begin from the next year there. This will be one of the greatest and unprecedented projects in this sphere. Work will be carried out in parallel," Narmania said.
