Georgia invited back to the CIS

On October 25, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko invited Georgia back to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Lukashenko stated that he made this offer on behalf of the leaders of the CIS member states. His suggestion was supported by the President of Ukraine, Victor Yanukovich. Georgia withdrew form the CIS after Russia attacked and occupied Georgian territories in 2008.
