Prospects of Georgia’s economic growth

Monday, December 16The National bank of Georgia (NBG) has decreased the prognosis indicator for 2013 for the second time. The first the decrease was lowered from 6% to 4% and now to 2.5%. However, the prognosis for 2014 shows the tendency of an increase of up to 5%.
Apart from export, the influence of the Georgian economy, money transfers and foreign direct investment is significant. However, there is alternative prognosis of growth which is 3%. This is the opinion of the NBG.
Economists support the idea of the co-investment foundation, which could positively influence the development of the economy if it takes solid steps and implements new projects. In this case, growth could reach 5%.
