Citrus harvest reaches record level

Wednesday, April 2
In 2013, Georgia yielded 110,000 tons of citruses, which is almost twice more than last year. More than 65,000 tons have been exported from the country to nine countries including Russia.

This is a good indicator because for the last nine years, no citruses had been exported to Russia.

Georgia has received more than $20 million from the citrus export in total. Meanwhile, the country has spent almost 25 million GEL for subsidizing citrus plantations and business. (The Messenger)
