Telephone Conversation with Senator John McCain

On April 11, telephone conversation was held between Minister of Defense of Georgia Irakli Alasania and the U.S. Senator John McCain. Georgian Defense Minister and the U.S. Senator discussed Georgia’s NATO membership aspirations, regional security and bilateral cooperation issues in defense sphere between the United States of America and Georgia.

As Senator McCain stated, he firmly supports increasing Georgia’s defense capabilities and granting Membership Action Plan (MAP) to Georgia at the upcoming NATO Summit. According to the U.S. Senator, he will do his best to achieve these goals.
