State now covers lawyer fees for Georgia’s socially vulnerable families

Thursday, April 16
A new service is being launched that allows socially vulnerable families in Georgia to enjoy the services of lawyers for free.

A new amendment in Georgian law means from April 15, the state will cover the full cost of lawyer expenses for more than 200,000 socially vulnerable families.

The eligible families can use lawyers’ services for criminal proceedings, and for civil and administrative affairs.

The initiator of the amendment was Member of Parliament and Legal Affairs Committee member Zakaria Kutsnashvili.

Later Kutsnashvili and director of Legal Aid Services Meliton Beridze visited Mtskheta and introduced the new service to the local population. (Agenda.ge)
