A joint group will be composed of Georgian and Lithuanian cyber officers who will take part in international cyber training to be held in the future.

The information came after the April 12 meeting between Georgia’s Ministry of Defence Cyber-Security and Information Technologies Department representatives and the staff of Lithuania’s National Centre of Cyber-Security.

The meeting, held in Lithuania, aimed to enhance the two nation’s cooperation in the cyber-security sphere and share prior experiences.

The participants also discussed the Russia-Georgia War of 2008 and the cyber-attacks Georgia was hit with during and after the military conflict that left 20 percent of the Georgian land occupied by the Russians.
