Tbilisi to host first annual Georgian economic forum

Monday, March 13
The first Annual Forum 'Georgian Economy: Prospects and Challenges' is scheduled to take place in Tbilisi March 20, 2017, reads the message posted on the website of Azerbaijan Export and Investments Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).

The forum aims to review the Georgian financial markets, investments, challenges and opportunities, as well as monitor trends and developments in all major industry sectors of the country.

The event covers actions aimed at improving the venture capital market and facilitating access to financial resources for local companies, as well as informing governmental bodies about crucial business issues, attracting funds and significant investments.

The one-day long forum will bring together more than 300 top executives representing the local Georgian government, business community, embassies, international organizations and associations in order to facilitate a communication platform between foreign investors and local companies, direct sales, and open various opportunities for both local and international businesses.

A corporate shopping festival will be held in parallel with the forum, serving as a perfect opportunity to help companies showcase their products and services to attendees.

The goal of the 'Shop-Fest' is to establish an annual tradition, when during one day Georgian businesses will be able to develop partnerships and attract new clients based on event-exclusive terms and prices on their products and services.
