TripAdvisor promotes Georgia among international travelers

Friday, April 21
The world’s largest travel website will promote Georgia’s touristic destinations to help the country attract more tourists.

Georgia’s National Tourism Administration (GNTA) today summarised 2016 partnership and revealed plans for 2017 with TripAdvisor, a popular travel internet portal enabling travellers to plan and book their trips.

Within the new agreement, www.tripadvisor.com will promote Georgia as a tourist destination among its users from 10 countries for the next six months.

These countries will include:
1. Germany
2. Italy
3. Poland
4. Sweden
5. Norway
6. Denmark
7. Israel,
8. Ukraine
9. Turkey
10. Russia

Within the marketing campaign the Georgian National Tourism Administration will spend about $65,000.

TripAdvisor offers advice from millions of travellers and a wide variety of travel choices and planning features with seamless links to booking tools that check hundreds of websites to find the best hotel prices.

TripAdvisor branded sites make up the largest travel community in the world, reaching 390 million unique monthly visitors, and 465 million reviews and opinions covering more than seven million accommodations, restaurants and attractions.

The GNTA launched a similar campaign last year as well where about 200,000 GEL (about $83,163/ˆ77,610*) was spent. (agenda.ge)
