Exciting November of Jazz fans

By Mariam Chanishvili
Friday, November 3
Eastern Promotion continues its activities to promote Jazz festivals in Georgia. This year, 20th Jazz Festival will be held in Tbilisi Event and Concert Halls from November 2-5.

The Festival will host Tower of Power, Joe Lovano Classic Quartet, Papuna Sharikadze trio ft. Eddie Gomez, and Stanley Clarke.

Georgian students will have a chance to attend special master class sessions from famous musicians within the frames of the festival. On November 4, Joe Lovano will hold a master class at Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire.

Tower of Power is an American band, originating from Oakland, California and has been performing since 1968. Lovano is an American jazz saxophonist, alto clarinetist, flautist, and drummer. Stanley Clarke is an American bassist and founding member of Return to Forever, one of the first jazz fusion bands. He has composed music for films and television and has worked with musicians in many genres. He has performed in Georgia earlier during previous Jazz Festivals.

Before the concert, the spectators will have a chance to view the exhibition by young Georgian artist Irakli Chikovani on jazz theme, called ‘The Jazz Experiment’ in the entrance hall of Tbilisi Concert Hall.

Jazz Festival has become a great entertainment for today’s youth and not just for them. Every year many tourists decide to plan a trip to Georgia in order to attend the Festival, particularly, from neighboring countries.

The official website of Tbilisi Jazz Festival states a promise from its organizer Eastern Promotions: “From private corporate events to festivals and large-scale concerts, we provide exceptional production skills and services.”

The festival is presented by TBC Bank's Personal Banking Service TBC STATUS. The festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia and Tbilisi City Hall.

The tickets can be found on an official page of Black Sea Jazz Festival and tkt.ge

TBC Status continues to support Black Sea Jazz Festival, so tickets purchased with TBC Status or TBC Prime Cards will have an exclusive price, and TBC Bank clients will have an opportunity to buy tickets with a discount.
