Tbilisi City Hall to terminate unlawful constructions

Tbilisi Mayor, Kakha Kaladze made a statement about the suspension of constructions in Tbilisi.

The Mayor says that a big portion of construction works carried out in Tbilisi lack official permissions.

“Construction works carried out without a permit is a serious problem and we will end this. We are going to hold onto principles. This is one of the most serious problems in terms of chaotic construction of the city,” stated Kaladze.

In the last two months (1 to January 28 to February 28), Tbilisi City Hall Supervision Service suspended 46 construction works due to various violations.



Verbal conflict emerges between Bakuriani governor and opposition

Members of the United National Movement opposition came to the local administration and demanded the Bakuriani governor to refuse doubled salary.

"We want only one thing. Refuse the doubled salary and nobody will bother you," Levan Khabeishvili, member of the National Movement told Gocha Gobronidze, Bakuriani governor.

The governor replied that he “shed blood for the sake of Georgia”. The governor also verbally abused the opposition member.

Patrol Police was mobilized around the Bakuriani administration building.

According to the opposition Bakuriani governor and assembly fought for increase of salaries.

Opposition also talks about Gocha Gobronidze’s alleged corruption deals.
