KPMG Georgia will conduct an audit of pension agency

Parliament has selected an auditor for the implementation of the 2019-2020 reporting of the Pension Agency. The external audit will be conducted by the audit company KPMG Georgia.

The Competition Commission, chaired by Irakli Kovzanadze, Chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee, made a choice among the three audit companies participating in the competition.

“KPMG Georgia was named the winner with the best technical and financial proposals. The sealed envelopes presented by the audit firms participating in the competition, in particular, the technical proposals at the previous sitting of the commission, and the financial proposals were opened today in the presence of the audit firm representatives.

KPMG Georgia, Price Water House Coopers (PWC) and Deloitte took part in the competition. As it is known, the external audit of Pension Agency 2018 was carried out by the audit firm Ernst & Young,” reads the statement.



19th International Exhibition of Agriculture and Food Industry opens in Tbilisi

The 19th International Exhibition of Agriculture, Food, Processing, and Packaging Technologies will be held at Agro / Food / Drink / Tech / Expo2019 will be held on November 20-22 at the Expo Georgia Exhibition Center 6th and 11th Pavilions.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, the exhibition was opened by the head of the department, Levan Davitashvili and the director of the exhibition center "Expo Georgia", Resan Kikava.

The Minister of Environment and Agriculture spoke about the importance of exhibitions of this magnitude and noted that the Ministry will continue to support such activities in the future, which will promote the development of the sector.

The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia Fatma Seren Yazgan and the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Georgia Mikhail Miatlikov, as well as the Deputy Ambassador of Italy to Georgia and the representative of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This year, about 100 companies from 15 countries are participating in the exhibition. It should be noted that at the Agro / Food / Drink / Tech / Expo 2019 Turkey, Belarus and Armenia represent national stands, where a wide range of locally produced products from these countries are represented.

This year, the 19th International Exhibition of Agriculture, Food, Processing, and Packaging Technologies presents agricultural machinery, tare and packaging materials, greenhouse technologies and equipment, irrigation systems, laboratory equipment, planting and seed materials, Fertilizers and pesticides Consulting services and modern technologies.

Within the framework of the exhibition, the AGROBUSINESS conference and a discussion panel will be held on the topic on November 21: Agricultural Development Plans and Opportunities. Seminars will also be held: Opportunities for starting an agribusiness and the standards required for the placement of Georgian products in the supermarket chain.

The International Exhibition on Agriculture, Food Industry, Processing, and Packaging Technologies is held with the support of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia, AIPA for Georgia and TBC for Business. This exhibition is the best platform for establishing business contacts between local and foreign producers, getting to know the manufactured products and generally developing the food industry in the country.



Presentation of magazine Homeland Of Wine held at National Wine Agency

Presentation of the magazine "Homeland Of Wine" was held at the National Wine Agency. According to the National Wine Agency, Homeland Of Wine is the first periodical magazine on Georgian wines to support and popularize Georgian wines in Georgia and abroad. The magazine will be published quarterly in Georgian and English.

Homeland Of Wine tells readers about the people or companies that make Georgian wine and its modern history. The author and editor-in-chief of the project is Maya Javakhishvili, publisher of media company N Line Media.

The presentation was attended by the creative team of the magazine, representatives of the National Wine Agency and winemaking.

“In every issue of the magazine, along with industry professionals and professionals, we will try to tell you more about the country where wine is part of the culture and lifestyle,” said Maya Javakhishvili, editor of the magazine.

According to Irakli Cholobargia, head of marketing and public relations at the National Wine Agency, Homeland Of Wine magazine is another message to the whole world that wine is part of ancient Georgian culture.
