According to Irakli Kobakhidze, the chairman of 'Georgian Dream', from the opposition's point of view, getting candidate status is a disaster for Georgia. According to him, in such a case the government will write a score, and the opposition will not allow it and will try to sabotage the European integration process.

Kobakhidze told the reporters that all 12 points will be fulfilled under the responsibility of the government together with the other political subjects and non-governmental organizations involved in the work process.

"We have a specific plan and points written down. Working groups have been created. We offered everyone to participate in these working groups, which many refused, and many agreed. The work process will take place in a healthy environment.

All 12 points will be fulfilled under our responsibility together with the political entities and non-governmental organizations involved in the work process.

Part of the opposition is involved, but part is not involved. For those who are not involved, it is their responsibility and it is an expression of their lack of a proper attitude towards the EU. Joining the European Union is a disaster from the point of view of the radical opposition. Getting candidate status is a disaster from their point of view. Why does the opposition look at it this way? They think that in such a case the government will score serious points, and they don't even want to imagine that. Accordingly, they will do everything in order to sabotage the European integration process, they will continue what they are doing" Kobakhidze said.

The Chairman of 'Georgian Dream', was also asked about 'United National Movement' leader Nika Melia's statement where Melia said that in order to change 'the worst' political situation, extraordinary elections should be held. Kobakhidze responded that the talk about extraordinary elections is 'irrelevant'.

"They stick to their own agenda, they constantly talk about rallies and extraordinary elections, although it seems from their tone that they themselves do not believe in the demands they are making," he said.

According to Irakli Kobakhidze, the only place where there is the worst political crisis is the radical opposition.

"Certainly, any request related to extraordinary elections is completely irrelevant. Any rally they announce is doomed to absolute failure. This is today's reality. If I am not mistaken, the following words were used: "the worst political crisis". The only place where there is the worst political crisis is the radical opposition. Inside, they have the worst political crisis, which seems like it can not be abolished. Society sees the confrontation with each other, everyone knows that inside there are divisions: Saakashvili, Melia, etc. They can't stand each other, they are against each other and this is already shown outside, and moreover, even their supporters are against each other as well. It is the internal conflicts, it is a common weakness that they show. They have had many attempts to confuse the situation in the country, all these attempts have failed, and this, of course, leads to disappointment in the ranks of their party," said Irakli Kobakhidze.
