"Lelo" MP Salome Samadashvili spoke about Ursula von der Leyen's statement regarding Georgia's European perspective:

"The door of the European Union is open for us, if we go through this door and follow the breeze of changes, what Ursula Der Leyen is talking about, reforms are crucial, -

According to the "Lelo" leader, it is crucial that Georgia shows progress on the path of reforms.

"A very important fact happened yesterday that Bosnia-Herzegovina, after three years of receiving the conditions to be fulfilled from the European Union, managed to make this breakthrough and get the candidate status. Among other things, this was possible because the elections were held on October 2, which was considered a step forward on the road to democracy.

The door of the European Union remains open for us, including as a result of the very great efforts of the opposition, but to go through these doors, to enter, to have progress, and to follow the list of changes that Von der Leyen talks about, it is necessary to carry out relevant reforms in the country and for the country to progress," said Samadashvili.

According to her, the management team is responsible for fulfilling the requirements of the European Union.

"It is the government's political responsibility that we did not get the candidate status. If they had fulfilled the calls that we made, to return to the Michel agreement, we might have had the status today. Even today, the government is responsible, because they have the majority and can make any changes, no one is going to let Kobakhidze deceive us that these people are now a separate political group and they do not have a majority, no -"Georgian Dream" has the majority.

We offer alternative bills, visions, opinions, and what should be done, but the opposition cannot make decisions because it does not have a majority. Therefore, the responsibility rests with the political team that fully controls the executive and legislative authorities in the country, the judiciary is fully controlled by the "Georgian Dream" and all other institutions, so in such an environment it is impossible to talk about the responsibility of someone else." said Salome Samadashvili.
