Georgia fully shares world messages directed against Russia, says Levan Ioseliani

Vice-Speaker and a member of Georgian parliamentary delegation Levan Ioseliani said at the plenary session of the fall session of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly in Strasbourg that Georgia fully shares the world's messages against Russia.

Levan Ioseliani reminded the members of the assembly that Georgia has already experienced Russian aggression and that the population of Georgia supports the resolutions of the United Nations and the Council of Europe. According to his statement, it is impossible not to share the world message directed against Russia for a country that has already experienced Russian aggression on its own territories.

Levan Ioseliani touched upon the issue of Georgia's integration into European structures and noted that nothing can stop the desire of the Georgian population to be an integral part of Europe.

"At the plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, I spoke about Russia's aggressive policy and the unanimity of the West against this aggression,

The assembly voted in favor of a resolution that affirms the terrorist nature of the Russian regime.

Today, the entire civilized world actually condemns Russia's policy, and no matter how ambiguous statements the Georgian government makes, no matter how much we complain about the lack of pro-Ukraine statements from the ruling team, the Georgian people really stand by this unanimous position and are loyal to their declared European choice" Levan Ioseliani said.

Badri Japaridze says he does not see Georgia getting EU candidacy under 'Georgian Dream'

"The European Union has opened the door to Georgia, but the "Georgian Dream" is standing at the door. Our task is to push the "Dream" out the door.

In order to bring the country into the European Union, Badri Japaridze, one of the leaders of the "Lelo - for Georgia" party, said this while talking to journalists.

According to him, instead of the ruling party working closely with the USA or the European Union to protect the country from possible threats, they attack the United States, its ambassador and shamelessly criticize the activities of the European Union. "The European Union has opened its door to Georgia, the member states of the European Union have already taken this decision, but the "Georgian dream" is standing in these doors, and our task is to push the "dream" out of the door in order to bring the country into the European Union. Under the conditions of the new, multi-party, coalition government, Georgia will receive the candidate status in 3 months.

Unfortunately, we do not see a possibility for the country to receive the status of a candidate for EU membership under the "Georgian Dream" rule. Fulfilling the recommendations of the European Union practically means changing the governance of "Georgian Dream", for which the governing team is not ready, therefore, until there is a multi-party governance, we will not be able to move forward on the path of integration into the European Union." said Badri Japaridze.
