Russian Occupation Forces Illegally Detain Another Georgian Citizen

Representatives of the Russian occupation forces unlawfully arrested a Georgian citizen in the vicinity of the occupied Sinaguri village.

The State Security Service stated that upon receiving information, the European Union Monitoring Mission activated its 'hotline'. Details regarding another instance of illegal detention were promptly communicated to the co-chairs of the international discussions in Geneva and international partners.

"All available mechanisms have been activated to release the illegally detained Georgian citizen as soon as possible.

Responsibility for all destructive actions committed on the occupied territories of Georgia, as well as along the occupation line, rests with the occupying power," State Security Service noted.

Eurooptimists Call for Vice Prime Minister Levan Davitashvili's Clarification Following Forum with Putin

Khatia Dekanoidze's political group, the 'Eurooptimists', has summoned the Minister of Economy and Vice Prime Minister Levan Davitashvili to Parliament through an interpellation. Dekanoidze asserts that following Davitashvili's attendance at the forum with Putin in China, he should clarify to the Georgian people the benefits that his presence at the forum and listening to Putin brought to the country, the state, and its people.

"Let Davitashvili come forward and articulate where the people's interests lie. Many questions need answers: What benefit did Davitashvili's attendance at Putin's speech bring to the state and its people?" Dekanoidze said.

Levan Davitashvili participated in the banquet hosted in Beijing on October 18, held as part of the Belt and Road Forum. One of the guests at the banquet was the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. Furthermore, Davitashvili was present and listened to Vladimir Putin's address on the opening day of the forum.
