The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is responding to the Georgian Dream's election clip, which juxtaposes footage of destruction in Ukraine with reconstruction in Georgia.

"The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry drew attention to another unfriendly action by the ruling party, "Georgian Dream", which continues to use videos for its political PR that depict the terrible consequences of Russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine. Such cynical steps demonstrate disrespect for the Ukrainian people and the victims of Russian aggression and cause just indignation in Ukrainian society," the statement said.

According to Kiev, it is regrettable that the Georgian government is trying to appease Moscow and is ignoring the principles of dignity and independence, which have historically characterized the Georgian nation and are an integral part of its identity.

"We advise the political strategists of the ruling party of Georgia to be honest with their own people and to place a more truthful picture on their pages: the tricolor flag of Russia on the right and the closed door of the European Union and NATO on the left. This corresponds to reality, because the current government of Georgia has deprived the country not of war, but of a European future. At the same time, Ukraine consistently and unwaveringly supports the friendly Georgian people in their pursuit of building an independent, democratic, and European state," the statement says.

On August 12, the Georgian Dream released an election clip that uses footage of the destruction caused by the war in Ukraine as propaganda and contrasts it with the "reconstruction and peace" that the Georgian Dream government is supposedly bringing to the country. The same technologies were used by the Georgian Dream during its parliamentary election campaign.
