Georgian Dream Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan emphasized the growing political and economic cooperation between their countries during a high-level meeting in Tbilisi on Wednesday, part of Khachaturyan's official visit to Georgia.

Kobakhidze said the relationship between Georgia and Armenia is developing rapidly across multiple areas. "We are glad that relations between our countries are developing dynamically. The frequent exchange of high-level visits is also a proof of this," he said. He added that close government cooperation provides a foundation for further partnership in the future.

Khachaturyan said Armenia remains committed to strengthening ties and supporting joint initiatives. "We are doing everything we can to support the strengthening and deepening of bilateral relations, and you can be sure that there will be no change in the attitudes and approaches of the Armenian side," he said.

The Armenian president thanked Georgia for the warm reception and noted that strong personal relations between the two leaders help advance collaboration. "Our common desire is for peace and stability in the region, internal political stability. I think that our populations in both Georgia and Armenia will appreciate the efforts of the governments, which are aimed at the sovereignty and independence of our countries," Khachaturyan said.

The meeting included discussions on economic cooperation, cultural exchange, and regional security. Officials emphasized that regular dialogue and high-level visits contribute to stability and open new opportunities for both nations.

This visit follows a series of exchanges between the two countries in recent months, reflecting a broader effort to deepen bilateral ties and expand collaboration in trade, infrastructure, and governance. Both leaders said they would continue working to ensure that the partnership remains strong and mutually beneficial.
